How The System Works
IdentIchip recommends the identification of your pet with the implantable
microchip. This can be done through your veterinarian at a nominal fee. The
microchip is a tiny computer chip containing a unique identification number
which cannot be altered, lost or removed. The microchip is injected painlessly
with a hypodermic needle, similar to a vaccination.
Once you have identified your pet it is important to register all of the
information relative to you and your pet. This information is then entered into
our Registration Database and maintained for the life of your pet- 24 hours a
day!
Shelters, Animal Control, and veterinarians are equipped with Scanners to
read the identification number in the event of loss or theft of your pet. They
will then call IdentIchip and a Recovery Specialist will access your information
and contact you immediately to provide your pet "A Safe Ticket Home!"
Remember: In order to provide prompt, effective, reliable service you must
register your pet at the time of implantation.
